Hello!

I am a wife and a mom of five boys. I am passionate about my faith, my family and all things birth (the latter being a sometimes humorous thing in a house full of boys)!

My journey to becoming a Doula is a long one...20-some years in the making. I have been fascinated by pregnancy and birth since childhood. I was the kid who wanted to hold all the babies and ask a million questions about pregnancy and breastfeeding. As a teen/young adult, I read everything I could get my hands on (this was pre internet...haha). I supported my first birth in August 1999 and I was truly in awe.

In the years of my own pregnancies, fertility struggles, and loss, I only grew more interested in the way women's bodies work and all things birth related.

In 2016, a friend casually asked me a loaded question: "If you could do anything you wanted as a career, money and time not being an issue, what would it be?" I thought about it for only a minute. She then asked how I could use who I am today and the skills I have to get there...and so the journey began for me to take the first steps in becoming a DONA certified Doula and Willow Tree Doula Services was born.

Today, I am even more passionate about birth than before. The more I know, the more I want to know. I am constantly looking for ways to learn more and add to my knowledge base so I can better help, support and educate others.

DONA Birth Doula

Hi there!

I am a wife, mother of 2 sweet girls, believer, and lover of all creatures big and small. I love music, dinners with my family, baking, and birth! Though that last one may be self explanatory :)

My fascination with women's health began with my own journey to learn more about fertility. Through my research I discovered the Fertility Awareness Method. Using the Fertility Awareness Method allowed me to understand more about my hormones and cycle, which helped me achieve my first pregnancy. Educating myself as an adult has made me realize how little we truly learn about the processes our bodies go through as women. I want to be able to help women understand their options for pregnancy, birth and beyond.

After choosing midwifery care for the incredibly beautiful pregnancy and birth of my daughter in 2021, I felt called to support women and their partners through the journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Everyone deserves the kind of care that is important to them, whatever that looks like. I strive to educate women throughout their pregnancy to give them the confidence that their body and baby know what they are doing. That they are safe and that birth is a beautiful physiological process that is so incredibly empowering. I am here to encourage, nurture, and support you every step of the way.

DONA Birth Doula

Hello!

I am a believer, wife and mother of three beautiful children, ages 11, 7, and 3. My passion for babies and birth has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. Even in high school, I enrolled in as many childbirth classes as possible, eager to learn and immerse myself in the world of birth. However, it wasn't until I discovered what a doula is that I truly found my calling. After attending my DONA training, I knew without a doubt that becoming a doula was my what I was meant to do.

Each of my own birth experiences was unique and special in its own way, highlighting to me the profound impact that a doula could have. I realized just how beneficial doula support could have been for me. This revelation fueled my desire to be there for other mothers, ensuring they have the guidance, support, and empowerment they need throughout their journey.

As your doula, my commitment is to support your individual needs and amplify your voice during your birth experience. I believe that birth stories are powerful and beautiful, and it is my mission to help make yours a positive and memorable one. Together, we can create a nurturing and empowering environment for you and your baby. Let's embark on this journey together and make your birth story one of strength, joy, and love.

Childbirth International Birth Doula

Registered Nurse

Hi everyone!

I am the head coordinator of my family of 4, a morning person, and a devout Christian. I am happiest when I feel the sun on my skin. I enjoy hiking, cooking meals from scratch, and spending time with my family and good friends. I graduated nursing school in 2021, and worked in the hospital setting for nearly 2 years before the birth of my first baby. My pregnancy and birth experience under midwifery care made it clear I was meant to dive into the world of birth work, and I’m so excited that’s where I find myself today.

Looking at all the options for your birth can be overwhelming. My goal is to help simplify that process for you, and help you make informed decisions that you feel confident in. I will be a constant support through your entire labor, and remind you of your strength when you need it most. I am passionate about helping mothers achieve the birth experience that they desire, and I believe having great support is so crucial! In a world where negative birth stories are the norm, I would love to help you have a birth that is empowering and filled with joy, and a birth story you are excited to tell.

DONA Birth Doula

Hi there!

I am married to my best friend, a homeschool mama to 3 wild kiddos, and a follower of Jesus. I enjoy reading, gardening, lifting weights, thrifting, and baking. I’m passionate about helping others feel seen and loved, clean living, and of course pregnancy, birth, and postpartum!

My fascination with all things pregnancy, birth, and babies began long before I became a doula. This passion only deepened as I experienced three pregnancies and births of my own. Each journey was a profound learning experience, offering me invaluable insights into the beauty and complexity of bringing new life into the world.

As I supported friends and loved ones during their births, a deep passion was ignited within me—a calling to help mother other mothers through this beautiful, blooming journey. I realized that the right support team can make an incredible difference in how empowered and confident you feel during your birth. That’s when I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to being that source of support for others.

Mamas are truly incredible, and it’s my goal to help you embrace the power, intuition, and knowledge that God has already placed within you.

It would be an honor to partner with you on this journey, to walk alongside you as you navigate pregnancy, birth, and the early days with your new little one. I’m here to ensure you feel supported, empowered, and ready to bloom into this new chapter of your life.

A little bit about Willow Tree Doula Services model: â€‹

You already know I'm passionate about birth work... and that means not only being a good doula myself, but also making sure there are other good doulas out there too. I love mentoring and teaching new doulas and I love learning from experienced doulas myself. Team work makes the dream work, right?

In 2024 Willow Tree is going from a single doula model to an agency model. We will be slowly bringing on other doulas that fit within our same values, training and amazing support you've come to know and expect.

Because doulas are on call 24/7 most of the time, the "shelf life" of a doula is about 3-5 years. This is mostly because doulas do not have a good work life balance and can burn out easily. Having solid back up for a doula that both she and her clients can trust is pertinent to this work (at least in my opinion). Being able to share call times and even have some time off (just like regular people) is important as well. Having the support of a village is key in doula work too!

This new model will allow our doulas to take care of themselves, their families and their clients in the best, most healthy way possible. Each doula at Willow Tree will have solid back up for each client, so that in the event that your chosen doula is unavailable for your birth, you get the next best thing. Every doula will have access to mentoring and advice from other experienced doulas, so you're not just getting a great doula, but a network of doula knowledge at your doula's fingertips. We want every client to feel confident in the care they will receive from Willow Tree Doula Services and we want to help our doulas to learn and grow so they can do what they love and be the best doula they can be.

Sincerely,

 - Carli
